    Minimum Qualifications:
    Education:  Possess a high school diploma or GED.
    Experience:
    • At least one year of experience providing medical administrative support services
    • Must possess experience using basic software applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Must possess at least one year experience interpreting coding records
    • Must posses familiarity with medical terminology
    • Must posses skills in oral and written communication sufficient to prepare and present reports using Microsoft Office Suite
    • Experience with CHCS/AHLTA highly desirable
    • Knowledge of Military Health System standards and policies highly desirable
    Security:  Must be a US Citizen and must be able to pass a government background check
     
    Schedule:
    8.5 hour workday during normal operating hours of 0700 - 1700, Monday through Friday
    No Weekends or Holidays
    No Overtime
     
    Job Specific Details and Tasks:
    Clear and Legible Reporting (CLR) Support
    • The contractor shall review all incoming CLRs for accuracy, completeness, and legibility and posting of consultation reports for patients referred both to and from civilian network providers.
    • Contact the civilian physician’s office, if an incoming report does not meet the CLR standards.
    • The contractor shall notify MTF providers when a CLR is posted and monitor timelines of incoming CLRs.
    • The contractor shall provide CLR receipts validation and shall cross-check referral authorizations against claims adjudicated.
    • The contractor shall properly document patient responses in CHCS, AHLTA, and the Referral Management System/Referral Management System Tracking Reports and Health Artifact and Image Management Solution (HAIMS).   The contractor shall provide notification to the referring Provider of patient requests to cancel referrals.
    • The contractor shall contact civilian Provider offices to determine if patient was seen and if so, acquire referral results.  The contractor shall properly close referrals in CHCS and the Referral Management System/Referral Management System Tracking Reports appropriately and shall forward an informational advisement of the referral status to the initiating MTF provider or PCM.  If patient is not seen in a civilian office, the contractor shall contact the patient to assist the patient in completing their care. Contacts shall be documented per MTF instruction.
    • The contractor shall assist with the return of completed consult reports to civilian providers for patients seen within the MTF under ROFR.  ROFRs shall be processed within the time limits outlined in the TRICARE Operations Manual, Chapter 8, Section 5 (http://manuals.tricare.osd.mil/DisplayManual.aspx?SeriesId=OPERATIONS).
    • The contractor will be aware of and verify accuracy of Quarterly Referral Management Reporting provided by the Referral Management supervisor to ensure percentages of Referrals closed with documentation are accurate and reflect current performance.
    • The contractor will adjust staffing and resources as necessary to ensure that 100% of initial referral authorization requests are accounted for in the following categories of closure:
      • Closed with CLR documentation, provider notified, and referral closed as ‘results received’ in CHCS.
      • Closed after patient notification, incorrect contact information identified, or 3 contact attempts are made to patient, provider notified and accounted as ‘no appointment required in CHCS
      • Closed according to exclusion criteria in accordance with MTF business rules.
