    ERP International, LLC (www.erpinternational.com) is currently seeking a Chemist for a full-time research position, supporting Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, in Bethesda, MD.     Minimum Qualifications:



    Education: Minimum Bachelors' Degree in related field; Masters or Ph.D. highly desired.


    Experience:




    • 5+ years relevant experience required.



    • Analytics experience working with biological samples highly desired.



    • Experience working with HPLC and mass spectrometry of clinically relevant samples is highly desired.



    • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint applications.



    • Proficient in verbal and written English.



    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and management skills are required.




    Security Requirements: Must be a US Citizen and possess the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance; Active SECRET clearance highly desired.



     


    Schedule:


    Normal business hours are Monday-Friday, 0730-1630


    No weekends or holidays


     


    Specific Tasks:


    The contractor shall provide skills, descriptions and requirements as stated below:



    • The chosen chemist will be responsible for the investigation and identification of secondary metabolites in biological fluids and tissue by use of all forms of chromatography, electrophoresis, and radioimmunoassay. These responsibilities will include the preparation and maintenance of cell and tissue culture lines and the isolation, identification, and quantification of drugs and their metabolites.

    • The contractor shall supply scientific data for written reports of scientific publications designed to improve or update medical knowledge. The results produced will affect the work of others working to resolve difficult medical problems. Work independently to include making many decisions concerning the interpretation of considerable data, planning of the research projects and refinement of methods and techniques to be used. Decisions regarding the research projects include the assessment of various approaches, and the interpretation of incomplete and conflicting data.

    • The contractor shall provide manuscript reviews for documents/reports submitted to scientific journals.
