    Normal work hours are Monday - Friday, 7am to 4pm, with a one hour lunch
    Work hours may vary dependent upon tasks and need, but will not exceed 40 hours per week
    Job Specific Details and Tasks:

    shall support Deputy Division Chief in all laboratory operations.

    shall support the Deputy Division Chief in implementing test methodologies and instrumentation.

    shall support the Deputy Division Chief to ensure that data integrity, quality control, and customer standards are met, including assisting Quality Assurance Coordinator with CLIA, CLIP, HIPAA, OSHA and other regulatory standards.

    shall support Deputy Division Chief and Chief, Support Operations in customer service activities.

    shall support the Deputy Division Chief with the day to day operations including accuracy for patient results, instrumentation, regulatory issues, procedures and processes as appropriate. 

    shall support the Deputy Division Chief in preparing and monitoring staffing, as well as with planning and managing operating and capital budgets. 

    shall be knowledgeable of bench processes of clinical laboratory to include moderate and high complexity testing in the areas of Chemistry, Immunology, Bacteriology, Parasitology, Virology and Molecular Diagnostics.

    shall collaborate with Laboratory Director and leadership team to establish policies and technical procedures for specimen handling, processing, analysis and result reporting for patient specimens.

    shall perform laboratory inspection within one month of hire date, with report to be given to Quality Assurance coordinator and Laboratory Director.

    shall attend weekly division management meetings, work closely with quality assurance monitor and provide quality assurance improvement metrics at monthly QA meetings.



    Minimum Qualifications:
    Education:  Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent field
    Certification: Certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist by ASCP
    Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience, preferably in a military or research environment
    Security:  Must be a US Citizen and must be able to pass a government background check
