    Normal work hours are Monday - Friday, 7am to 4pm, with a one hour lunch
    Work hours may vary dependent upon tasks and need, but will not exceed 40 hours per week
    Job Specific Details and Tasks:
    • Shall have a high degree of competency in research and shall lend strong administrative leadership, and technical support to ongoing research programs. The individual shall have an exceptionally high capacity for performing unsupervised research. The individual shall have the ability to organize, manage and perform studies as related to ongoing research projects, assist in dealing with challenging technical issues, collaborate with Principal Investigators, and independently perform assignments based on general guidance, and possess excellent communication skills.
    • Shall demonstrate the ability to perform a variety of administrative task associated with research to include scheduling, conducting literature reviews, writing and reviewing grant proposals, manage local aspects for proper document clearances by Scientific and Technical Information (STINFO), creating and supporting cost proposals for grant submissions.
    • Shall demonstrate the ability to perform a variety of technology based tasks associated with research to include building and maintaining research databases, utilization of the Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) system, operation of standard research equipment and tracking DoD assets for calibration and status.
    • Shall demonstrate experience in critical care of ill/injured patients, aerospace medicine, aeromedical evacuation, and critical care air transport. The contractor employee must be able to professionally collaborate with research colleagues, medical professionals, DoD employees, and government officials to include collaborating with private individuals and researchers in academic settings on research execution and translation. The contractor employee shall attend meetings, as required, with government and civilian organizations, program managers, academia, and subject matter experts.
    • Shall demonstrate a sound understanding of regulatory approval processes, patient screening, consenting, and enrollment. The contractor employee shall be proficient in data collection/analysis and experience with various research methodologies in developing studies, and administering grants.
    • Shall have the ability and skill set to complete biological sampling from subjects (including blood draws).
    • Shall assure confidentiality of documents, communications and study data (CITI training current and follow HIPAA and IRB requirements).



    Minimum Qualifications:
    Education:  BSN
    License/Certification: Active/Unrestricted RN License
    Experience: Minimum 10 years' experience in a trauma or critical care setting, additional experience in research or a military environment preferred
    Security:  Must be a US Citizen and must be able to pass a government background check
