    Normal work hours are Monday - Friday, 7am to 4pm, with a one hour lunch
    Work hours may vary dependent upon tasks and need, but will not exceed 40 hours per week
    Job Specific Details and Tasks:
    Sshall provide biomedical expertise and support the performance of USAFSAM research projects; conduct comprehensive literature reviews on project topics; aide in creating research proposals and IRB protocols for team application design and maintain research databases for team products; recommend and conduct market analysis on emerging technologies as needed to support ongoing and new programs and train team members on technologies; provide biomedical engineering advice for aerospace medical and biomedical programs; serve as an expert consultant on human interface design, testing, and certification projects; perform technical biodynamic tests and recommendations on applicable aviation systems; analyze research data, produce research reports and present research at professional engineering / scientific meetings; collaborate with engineers and scientists in Government and academia to coordinate biomedical research programs. The contractor employee shall be a self-motivated individual who possesses an enthusiasm for developing innovative solutions in a rapid development environment, an understanding of a process- based approaches to research and development, and a thorough attention to detail ensuring that tasks are accomplished in a complete, precise, and accurate manner.
    Shall possess the ability to effectively communicate technical information, taking into account the audience and the nature of the information (technical, sensitive, controversial). This individual shall make clear presentations and reports; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, recognizes potential miscommunication, and communications issues in an appropriate manner.


    Minimum Qualifications:
    Education:  Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
    Certification: CBET preferred
    Experience: Minimum 1 to 5 years’ experience working on research projects, collecting and analyzing biomedical data, technical writing, and presenting findings to internal groups as well as scientific and professional conferences.  Shall have experience with human subject research, and be familiar with human performance research areas such as aeromedical evacuation, acceleration, high altitude research and/or the effects of adverse physical environments on the human body and human performance.  Shall have experience in the application of research projects, human- interface design and evaluation, the analysis of research data, and writing research reports. Shall have experience with the presentation of research and technical information in professional settings.
