    Monday – Friday, 8 hours/day, excluding federal holidays.
    Job Specific Details and Tasks:


    • Assists the PA(R&T) and PPAE staff with planning, programming, budgeting, and execution of Army, Defense Health Program (DHP) and other DoD biomedical research and development activities.
    • Prepares information papers and other required documentation in response to routine and short suspense inquiries from internal or external DoD organizations.
    • Facilitates Purchase Requests through USAMRMC General Fund Enterprise Business Systems (GFEBS) for respective office.  Facilitates other documentation using Livelink Administration.
    • Prepares and maintains the office mandatory training requirements.  Ensures notification for upcoming mandatory training deadlines to office personnel and tracks completion status on training.  Liaises with internal and external training Points of Contact.
    • Creates, edits, and formats all letters, memos, briefings and documents.  Prepares and maintains word processing, spreadsheets, graphical and print/production materials, databases, and/or software files and information.
    • Assists PA(R&T) staff in addressing all travel and supporting travel requirements and maintains accurate, organized records.
      • Knowledgeable in the processes and guidelines for the Defense Travel System (DTS) and remains abreast of changes that impact travel of office personnel.
    • Enters travel information into DTS, finds and fixes errors or questionable items including items entered by other users.  Addresses and processes vouchers according to DTS regulations. 
    • Assists PA(R&T) staff in preparing and maintaining forecasted travel and leave information.  Provides a consolidated listing for forecasted travel and leave in accordance with staff input and distributes to office personnel on a weekly basis.
    • Coordinates with PA(R&T) staff to consolidate next fiscal year travel expectations in conjunction with office budget plans.  Completes applicable Government travel forms for PA(R&T) staff for training and conferences.
    • Assists PA(R&T) staff on budgetary and administrative matters within the office using spreadsheets, databases and presentation materials.
    • Maintains awareness on status of current and future internal funding actions in coordination and support of the COR and other staff (supplies, equipment, etc.).
    • Assists with hand receipts and inventories for equipment within the office.
    • Assists with other office requirements in coordination with the COR or other Government service personnel (Billing reports, Internal Control Program, Manpower, etc.).
    • As needed, attends and records minutes at various meetings in support of the PA(R&T) staff.
    • Coordinates and tracks tasking activities (including suspense dates) for the PA(R&T) staff.  Tracks tasker completion and provides a consolidated status on all open and closed taskers.  Consolidates and maintains tasking data and information for senior leadership review.  
    • In coordination with PA(R&T) staff, maintains calendars, schedules meetings, video teleconferences, and ensures appropriate audio/visual support and availability for the OPA(R&T).
    • Develops and provides briefings as required for assigned projects.
    • Supports analyses of Army and DHP medical research and development portfolios and organizational constructs in coordination with PA(R&T) staff.
    • Develops and maintains records of Army and DHP activities and performs other duties as requested.


    Minimum Qualifications:
    Education: Minimum Bachelor's Degree in related field.
    Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in related activities; 2 years' experience with Masters.
    Security: Current Active NACLC or higher highly desired.
