    Responsibilities

    Schedule:
    Monday - Friday, dayshift
    Currently no On-call required; subject to change in the future depending on the needs of the hospital
    No Weekends or Holidays
     
    Job Specific Details and Tasks:
     

    Interpret all routine studies (including plain films, CT, US, nuclear medicine and MRI,fluoroscopic and Mammography as available at the MTF) and dictate for transcription to CHCS.

     

    Perform and provide diagnostic interpretation of diagnostic radiologic imaging examinations, and provide diagnostic consultation related to diagnostic imaging to othermembers of the medical staff. Examinations, procedures, and studies performed will include the full range of diagnostic and therapeutic work that would be performed by a board certified diagnostic radiologist. Routine studies such as plain film interpretation,

    the normal range of fluoroscopic examinations and common imaging procedures, the interpretation of MRI, CT scans, and ultrasound and mammography and nuclear medicine exams are required.

     

    Routine radiological procedures including, but not limited to, routine plain film, routine fluoroscopic procedures (barium enema, esophagram, barium swallow, Upper GI, IVP, pediatric fluoroscopy, Ultrasound (vascular, OB and routine abdominal, pelvic, superficial), CT, nuclear medicine, mammography (including needle localizations and stereotactic biopsies), minor interventional procedures including ultrasound guided

    biopsy and fine needle aspiration, and CT guided biopsy (no angiography).

     

    Perform and provide diagnostic interpretation of diagnostic radiologic imaging examinations, and provide diagnostic consultation related to diagnostic imaging to other members of the medical staff.

    Procedures include, but are not limited to:

    • Chest and Ribs Head and Neck

    • IVP Ultrasound

    • Cystogram

    • Oral Cholecystograms

    • Abdomen/KUB

    • Spine and Pelvis

    • Extremities

    • Arthrogram

    • Urethrogram, interpretation only

    • CT Scans - head, neck, chest, abdomen, pelvis extremities

    • Hysterosalpingogram

    • Cholangiogram

    • Retrograde Cysto-Urethrography

    • Percutaneous Biopsy and/or Aspiration

    • Barium Enema (Single and Double contrast)

    • Mammogram (to Include Needle Localization)

    • Other (Gall Bladder, Fistulograms, Galactograms)

    • Voiding Cystourethrography

    • Nuclear Medicine Studies

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:
    Education: Graduate of an approved medical school; completion of fellowship/residency
    Experience: Minimum 2 years experience, may include residency
    License/Certification and Training: Active/unrestricted license from any state; Board Certified; BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP
    Security:  Government background check required
