Overview

ERP International, LLC has an immediate opening for a Senior Java Developer with experience in developing Cloud-native applications using Micro Services. You will be part of a talented software development team supporting our DISA customer either in Laurel, MD or Reston, VA. Candidates must be open to travel to Fort Meade, MD client site when necessary. The Senior Java Developer will work as a part of an Agile team performing DevSecOps. Actively hiring in the wake of COVID-19. The selected candidate will start working remotely until workforce reentry.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for participating in the full agile application development life cycle for new development design and testing of Java Web Applications, using Java Spring Boot, RESTful API, PostgreSQL, Apache Camel, Kafka, Angular, Hibernate, etc.
  • Work collaboratively as a full stack developer on Agile teams and have the ability to complete user stories and develop usable code independently with minimal oversight and guidance
  • Develop and manage development tasks in a fully automated CI/CD pipeline using tools such as Jenkins and Puppet
  • Perform development using Agile Scrum
  • Contribute to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organization; contributes to acceptance/functional testing duties and part of incremental feature development
  • Adheres to, promotes, and maintain development standards and best practices, participates in regular code reviews
  • Assists development/test teams in activities with acceptance testing, load testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning as required
  • Communicate committed stories for the upcoming sprint to backlog owners and stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field and 6 - 8 year’s experience in Software Development
  • Mininum 5+ years of progressive Java application development experience
  • Active SECRET Security Clearance Required - (Interim Secret is also acceptable)
  • At least 5+ years of Agile DevSecOps & CI/CD experience
  • AWS and Azure development experience preferred
  • Jenkins, Puppet, Groovy Scripts, and Terraform experience preferred
  • Expertise Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket
