Responsibilities

Job Specific Details and Tasks:

Research assistants are responsible for supporting WRAIR-W scientists with the execution of human subjects research related to psychology, brain health, and human performance. This includes, but is not limited to:

  1. assisting with research protocols
  2. preparing study materials
  3. conducting study data collection procedures
  4. study data processing
  5. assisting with creation of reports and presentations

Research projects would include qualitative and quantitative methods including surveys, interviews, experimentation, and intervention testing. Data collection may be conducted in a variety of settings to include clinical settings, military garrison settings, and field settings.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Education:  Minimum Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in either psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience, or related field; college coursework in research methods, statistics, or similar; fluent in English;

Experience: Minimum one year experience supporting human subjects research;

Security:  Must be a US Citizen and must be able to pass a government background check and obtain a CAC

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience:  more than 2 years supporting human subjects research; experience working with military or veteran population; experience with psychology research software such as Qualitrics, Inquisit, SPSS, or similar.
