General Responsibilities: Participates in research and development activities in support of behavioral health efforts for the military. Utilizes established mathematical and scientific techniques to compile and analyze data. Assists with preparing manuscripts, writing technical reports and developing presentations of data for various audiences. Assists with curriculum development to update training lessons in psychology-related courses. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Expected to prepare for and travel frequently to provide support for on-site data collections at military installations. Works under immediate supervision.
Recommended: a Master's degree in Behavioral Science and a minimum of 2+ years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Must be proficient with or willing to learn statistical programs such as SPSS, STATA, or R for data manipulation and statistical analyses as well as Remark Office Software and online survey instruments (such as Qualtrics) for both the creation of surveys and the scanning of surveys. Experience with military populations preferred.
