Overview

ERP has an immediate opening for a highly skilled AWS Infrastructure Engineer to support one of our technical projects with a US Government Agency.  This role will be focused on designing, implementing AWS native infrastructure services to include Databases, Data Warehouses, and Reporting applications. This job has remote work options.

Pay Range: $85,000 -$125,000

 

The salary range for this position is determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, qualifications, skill level, and location. The final salary offer will fall within this range and will be commensurate with the candidate’s background and the specific demands of the role.

Responsibilities

 

  • Build, design, deploy, maintain and lead the implementation of Cloud solutions for business analytics in AWS
  • Participate in technology evaluation and re-engineering teams to support strategy-definition and continuous process improvement activities
  • Help implement the technology direction, vision, and strategy to enable Cloud technology adoption
  • Implement and refine cloud future state architectures and maps including architecture standards, guidelines, and industry best practices.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain automation of cloud ennoblement tools
  • Recognize and resolve issues and impact
  • Assess urgency of issues and facilitate follow-up and resolution accordingly including service quality initiatives to support a “five nines” product availability environment
  • Participate in the design, implementation and management of workload automation initiatives

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of relevant IT experience
  • 3+ years working with AWS native tools
  • 3+ years of experience supporting applications that use Lambda, RDS, Quicksight and other AWS tools.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience using deployment automation tools, such as Ansible, Terraform, Helm, and CloudFormation
  • Extensive knowledge of Linux based systems including Hardware, software, networking and storage
  • Experience developing cloud infrastructures on Amazon Web Services (AWS) for small, medium scale and enterprise level applications
  • Specific experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including VPC, EC2, Network, ELB, EBS, EMR, Redshift, RDS, and IAM
  • Broad experience with cloud adoption, including application readiness assessment, prototyping of new environments, server builds, data migration, performance tuning of cloud environments
  • Technical knowledge of infrastructure components such as Network, Storage, Linux/Windows
  • Experience with DevOps procedures and processes and with working in an Agile environment

Work Authorization Requirements:

  • Must have an active DoD SECRET clearance
  • US Citizen
