Overview

ERP International, LLC (www.erpinternational.com) is currently seeking a skilled Configuration Manager to support one of our technical projects with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). This project represents a multi-year effort for IT Modernization and Transformation requiring tested, secure, and hardened software solutions that are managed and updated often. The ideal candidate should be able to develop or modify CM plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the developmental or operational system. They should also be able to perform change control and configuration audits. Expectations would be onsite in office or at Fort Meade 1-2 times per week initially, moving to once per week after a few months.

 

Job Location: Hybrid - On customer site (Ft. Meade) with telework options. Expectations would be onsite in office or at Fort Meade once per week.

Pay Range: $90,000-$110,000. The salary range for this position is determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, qualifications, skill level, and location. The final salary offer will fall within this range and will be commensurate with the candidate’s background and the specific demands of the role.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for Configuration Management (CM) of developmental and operational applications, systems, and cloud environments. 
  • Work closely with development and operations teams to facilitate smooth transitions between environments and ensure that configurations are aligned with project requirements.
  • Oversee the configuration of various environments using CM tools to ensure they are consistent and meet the required standards 
  • Use or recommend automated CM tools to implement policies and procedures. 
  • Utilize CM tools to store, track and manage configuration items
  • Maintain accurate records of configuration items (CIs) and manage changes to these configurations, ensuring traceability and compliance with established procedures
  • Implement CM disciplines for the entire life cycle of systems from initial requirement / capabilities to system end-of-life. 
  • Utilize CM tools to store, track and manage configuration items
  • Perform change control and configuration audits.

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Must have a BS in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience as a CM in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
  • Proficiency in using configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef) to automate and manage configurations
  • Assist in defining and implementing hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures, such as creating product build scripts and procedures, implementing those scripts with the hardware and software build process
  • Ability to analyze complex systems and troubleshoot configuration issues as they arise.
  • Ability to work both in a team environment and independently
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and the software development cycle

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Secret DoD clearance
  • Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, BitBucket

 

Work Authorization Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain Final Secret DoD clearance
